Xavi Hernandez reveals why he changed his mind to remain at Barcelona

The head coach of Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez, has explained why he changed his decision to stay back at the club until the end of his contract in 2025.

Xavi decided to stay back at his job with Barcelona after he met with the board of directors at the club. According to him, he changed his mind because of the unfinished project he had at the club.

He said,

"I changed my mind because I really felt total confidence from the president, from the board and the players too. This project isn't finished yet. Me, my staff, all together feel that we have strength to make important things together and continue this project."

Xavi had initially announced that he would leave the Catalonia giants at the end of this current season (2023/24) after a series of bad results across all competitions. However, things began to change for the better after he announced the news in January 2024.

Barcelona supporters hope that this decision will help the club win the league and most likely the UEFA Champions League.
