Who will win the 2023/24 Premier League season?

The 2023/24 Premier League season will be remembered as one of the most competitive since its inception in 1992. This season has seen teams fiercely compete at different ends of the table, from the quest to win the title, to fighting for survival, and also looking to book a spot in the European competitions for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

However, our attention is on the top of the league table as we speculate which club will emerge as the champion of the 2023/24 season. The league title has been labeled a three-horse race, with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool all vying for the title.

As the league gets into its penultimate week, the Gunners and the Cityzens are the only two teams that can win the trophy, with the Reds dropping out along the way after a defeat to Crystal Palace and a draw against West Ham United.

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola aims to lead Manchester City to their fourth consecutive Premier League title, a feat that has never been achieved before in the history of the league. Throughout the current season, Manchester City has been consistently close to the top spot.

Opta Joe has tipped the Cityzens as favourites to win the league title, with over a 60% chance of lifting the trophy when the season ends in May. Additionally, Manchester City has the added advantage of having played one game less than Arsenal. If they win all their remaining games, which are against Fulham, Tottenham, and West Ham United, they will be crowned champions even if Arsenal wins their remaining two games.

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta is hoping to lead Arsenal to their first Premier League championship in twenty years. The team came close to winning the trophy last season (2022/23), but were unable to seal the deal, resulting in City winning the trophy for the third consecutive year. However, the Gunners have a second chance to correct their mistake and clinch the trophy this season.

Opta reports that Arsenal's chances of winning the Premier League have increased to 34.1% after their 3-0 victory over Bournemouth. Mikel Arteta's side is currently one point ahead of second-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand and recently thrashed Wolves 5-1.

Arsenal has two games remaining in the season, playing against Manchester United and Everton. These two games are not easy fixtures for the Gunners but if they want to win the trophy this season, they cannot afford to drop points in any of these games.

Prediction:

We believe Manchester City will be crowned Champions at the end of the season because of the recent form of the club's key players ( Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland). The trio have been responsible for City getting maximum points in their last few games in the league, with three games to the end of the campaign, there is no way Manchester City will lose or drop points in any of those games.

On the other hand, Arsenal just like Manchester City, will also win their remaining two games because of the fantastic form of their attackers. However, the six points will not be enough for the Gunners to win the trophy.

Final verdict:

Manchester City will win the league with one point ahead of Arsenal.
