A gigantic meteorite is heading towards Earth and threatens to wipe out the human race in a manner similar to the extinction of the dinosaurs. As Earth's governments begin to implement several plans to deflect and then destroy the meteorite, a couple, Jason and Ashley, search for their missing child in Los Angeles, despite the various disasters triggered by the approaching meteorite.
