Kano Pillars thrashed Sunshine Stars 5-1 to record the biggest win on matchday 21 of the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Ibrahim Mustapha bagged a brace, with Rabiu Ali, Auwalu Ali and Mustapha Umar scoring the other goals.

Promise Awosanmi scored the consolation goal for Sunshine Stars.

Bayelsa United recorded the only away win of the day edging past Akwa United 1-0 at the Eket Township Stadium.

Eyong Ofem netted the decisive goal 13 minutes from time.

In Kaduna, Niger Tonardoes claimed a 1-0 victory over Abia Warriors with Ikenne Offor scoring the winning goal 14 minutes from time.

Gombe United boosted their survival hopes with a 2-0 win against Sporting Lagos.

Lukman Balogun and Yusuf Taiye were the goal scorers for the Savannah Scorpions.
