Enyimba head coach, Olanrewaju Yemi has said Enyimba must secure a continental ticket this season.

The Aba giants hopes of successfully defending the title they won last season was halted on Sunday following a 2-1 away defeat against Sporting Lagos.

The nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions however still have a chance of securing a continental ticket.

Enyimba currently occupy third position on the table.

The two-time African champions will welcome Plateau United to Aba for their final game of the season this weekend.

“We can’t afford to toy with the game against Plateau United,” he told the club’s mediam

“A win will guarantee a place in the continent next season.

“The players know what is at stake, we can’t compromise, we must give everything to get the maximum points anything aside that we have failed the club and the fans.”
