Manchester City and Chelsea shared the spoils at the Etihad Stadium, the same way they did when both sides met in November 2023 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg.
Chelsea's forward players, Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling missed chances to put the Blues ahead in the first half. However, the duo redeemed their images when both players combined to put the Blues ahead in the game.
Manchester City came out guns blazing in the second half as they looked to break down Chelsea but the Blues were able to hold their resilience so as to hold them from getting an equating goal. Rodri finally got his team back into the game when he fired home an audacious strike to ensure City maintained their unbeaten run at the Etihad.
The result put Manchester City in third place with 53 points, four points behind league leaders, Liverpool with Arsenal in second place with 55 points. Here are the five things we learnt from the match.
