Anthony Joshua has urged Francis Ngannou not to quit boxing despite the former UFC star going down to another defeat in their highly celebrated contest in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua dominated the bout from the opening bell knocking out Ngannou with a vicious right in the first round.

Joshua then knocked out the Cameroonian in the second round.

“You are an inspiration. You will beat a lot of people. Don’t leave boxing. Don’t leave boxing,”the two-time heavyweight champion told his opponent in the centre of the ring.

“If you need anything, let me know, but we will speak another time.”

Ngannou made his boxing debut last October, stunning Tyson Fury by knocking him down in the third round before losing a split decision.
