It’s Carabao Cup Or Nothing –Sterling

Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has insisted that the Blues is determine to win the Carabao Cup on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino would appreciate a trophy as the Blues continue their long road back to the top, even if this season has not been what many at Stamford Bridge had hoped for.

In 2015, Chelsea won their seventh Carabao Cup. Since then, however, they have reached two finals and lost penalty shootouts after consecutive scoreless draws: one against Manchester City and the other to Liverpool.

Ahead of Sunday’s final, Sterling told TribalFootball that it would be a massive achievement if the team wins the trophy.

“It would be a massive achievement to do that.

“When you’ve had that taste for it, you always want more and this game will be the exact same thing.

“We’ve got a great test this week against Liverpool.

“It’s a good challenge against one of the most dominant teams in the last few years.

“For sure it would mean a lot to win that trophy again.

“I also think that first trophy would definitely build the belief for the group. If you win that one trophy it gives you that sniff, that feeling and you want more.”
