I'm Hiding It Well, But Inside, I'm Freaking Out About These 36 Anti-Trend Finds

I've always had a great poker face, probably because I could never quite wrap my head around actual poker and needed to come up with a way to fake it. That said, I only really have to play during holiday parties, so my ability to hide my hand has had to become useful in other ways, one of which is masking my excitement over all things fashion related. You see, I can't just be freaking out every time I find something really, really good while shopping online. My seatmates at the office would have to move or buy some high-quality soundproof headphones. No matter how calm I might look, trust that I'm probably losing it over a luxury bag, vintage shoes, or a designer-looking sweater inside.

Such was the case this week when I went on a scroll in search of timeless, anti-trend fashion finds to share with all of you. This year has brought with it a fair share of trends, many of which I'm smitten with, but any styling expert knows that a well-rounded wardrobe must include both trendy items and classic ones. The 36 pieces below fit into the latter category, and they're all more than worth screaming over. I won't do that, though. Instead, I'll switch on my aforementioned poker face and tell you all calmly to scroll down and see for yourself just how chic each one is.

Navy, to me, is the most luxurious color to fill your closet with.

These J.Crew jeans just came out, and after seeing them on Olympia Gayot, the brand's head of women's design, I'm convinced they'll sell out by February.

A fan favorite among WWW editors.

These have been flying off virtual and IRL shelves, but of course, they have been. They're beautiful.

It's all about utility in the wintertime—chic utility that is.

Cashmere? Say less.

You really don't have to spend $500+ on a good belt.

If you hate sorting through bins of vintage Levi's, these are a great alt that is just a click away.

This dress only launched on Monday, but I'm already seeing it slip out of stock.

The Olsen Coat? Sign me up for one.

If I had to pick one dress to buy in 2024, it'd be this one—hands down.

Trust me. These won't stay in stock for much longer.

If you've been wanting a long waistcoat but every option has been too expensive thus far, I've got you.

This trench is as close to perfect as they come.

I'm such a cape person lately.

Only $56 for this skirt? Consider me convinced.

Nobody embodied timelessness like Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis.

If your outfit is erring on the boring side, just add this belt. It's a quick fix that works every time.

You want to own this cardigan—trust me.

Good tanks are hard to find. This one's great.

I've long preferred the brushed-leather Birkenstocks to the soft suede ones. They feel more fashiony to me.

Stunning! Beautiful! Gorgeous!

These classic pants are constantly selling out for a reason.

This headband is 100% Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy approved.

This any-occasion (besides a wedding that's not yours) dress is calling your closet's name.

The fit on this blazer never ceases to amaze me.

Camel cashmere for $80? How many is too many to order?

Now, you just need a European summer vacation to wear this skirt on.

I've been absolutely smitten with this cardigan ever since I spotted it last week on H&M's website.

If I didn't know better, I'd assume these were $700+ designer boots.

This is one jacket that's worth splurging on, wouldn't you say?

It's a need, not a want.

Don't spend hundreds on designer eyewear if you don't want to. This pair from H&M will look just as glamorous.

You'll be able to pass this Saint Laurent flap bag down for generations. It's "out"-proof.

Just really good jeans.

The color of these slingbacks has me rush-ordering a pair to my door.
