DR Congo have secured a berth in the semi finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Guinean 3-1 in the quarter-finals on Friday.
Guinea opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Mohamed Bayo’s penalty before Chancel Mbemba leveled parity for DR Congo in the 27th minute.

Yoane Wissa extended DR Congo’s lead to 2-1 from the penalty spot in the 65th minute to the delight of their supporters.
However, Masuaku took the game beyond the reach of Guinea with a sublime freekick that beat goalkeeper, Ibrahim Kone.
All efforts for Guinea to make a possible comeback proved abortive as DR Congo sealed a place in the semi-finals.
