A member of the North East Development Commission, NEDC, Malam Musa Yashi representing Bauchi State has been commended for representing the people of the state very well since his appointment.

Coalition of Civil Society Organizations , CSOs, drawn from across the seven states of the North-East (Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe states) under the auspices of North-East Coalition of CSOs (NECCSO) made the comment in an interview with Journalists in Bauchi yestërday.

The CSOs passed vote of confidence on Malam Musa Umar Yashi, the Executive Director, Humanitarian Affairs, North-East Development Commission, NEDC, for his contribution towards improving the wellbeing of the citizens, describing him as an achiever.

The spokesman of the group, Yazid Inuwa Malamin Kasuwa from Bauchi state, reaffirmed that, the groups’ primary objective of passing the vote of confidence in Musa Yashi is not unconnected with his Midas touch in the Humanitarian Affairs directorate of the NEDC.

He said as Executive Director of Humanitarian Affairs of the NEDC, Malam Musa Yashi extends oliver branch to every nooks and cranny of the entire seven member states of the North-East, just in trying to serve with humanity.

Yazid dismissed the sponsored attempt by some cheaply hired media scum, intended to smear the age-long, hard-earned, and enviable good-name and dossier of Malam Musa Yashi for cheap publicity.

He commended the Commission under Dr Alkali for humanitarian aid, in form of food and non-food items, under close supervision of the Commission’s Humanitarian Affairs Executive Director, Malam Musa Yashi.

” Nonetheless, under the country’s current economic and social turbulence, resulting from the after effect of fuel subsidy removal, relief materials in forms of food and non-food essential commodities, are evenly distributed across the seven North-Eastern member states of NEDC; respectively, courtesy of NEDC Humanitarian Affairs Executive Director, Musa Yashi.” He said.
