Adams Ends Six-Month Goal Drought In Ligue 1

Akor Adams ended his six-month goal drought in Ligue 1, after scoring Montpellier’s goal in their 1-1 home draw against Nantes on Friday night.

The last time Adams scored in Ligue 1 was on 29 October, 2023, when he bagged a brace in a 3-0 win against Toulouse.

He, However, was on target in January 2024 when Montpelier beat lower division outfit Feignies Aulnoye 4-0 in the French Cup.

In the game against Nantes, Adams gave Montpellier the perfect start, as he netted just two minutes into the game.

But Nantes equalised in the 7th minute through French forward Matthis Abline.

Nantes we’re without Super Eagles winger Moses Simon who is still done with injury.

Adams has now scored eight goals in 29 appearances in the French topflight this season.

Montpellier are in 12th position on 37 points, nine points from the relegation play-offs and 11 points from relegation zone, in the 18-team league table.

For Nantes, they occupy 14th and 32 points on the log.
