Thirty-seven state chairmen have paid a solidarity visit to the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, declaring total support for him.

The visit is coming after a group in Kano state purportedly suspended the national chairman.

Speaking during the visit, the Acting chairman of the State Chairmen Forum and Lagos State Chairman, said those who made the announcement were not even known to the party in the first place.

The state chairmen declared that they will not allow Dr. Ganduje to be embarrassed like former chairmen of the party.

“What they wanted to do was a coup but the coup has failed. We are here to show that we are solidly behind you anytime any day.”
